| 7/20 - Mona Leaves-a (KABF12) Homer's mother dies (for real, this time), and Homer decides to fulfill her last request of having her ashes scattered from the highest point in Springfield National Park...but is it really just an act of civil disobedience from beyond the grave? 7/27 - DOUBLE FEATURE --------------------- 8:00 - All About Lisa (KABF13) Lisa climbs the ladder of fame after getting a job as Krusty's assistant - and, unlike Bart, there doesn't seem to be any stopping her once she reaches the top; Homer and Bart go after a 1917 misminted penny that appears to have Lincoln kissing himself 8:30 - Little Orphan Millie (JABF22) Milhouse's parents get remarried and go on a honeymoon cruise, but when they are washed overboard and presumed lost at sea, Milhouse breaks out a new rebel persona that takes over from Bart as the popular kid in Springfield; Marge won't let Homer look at her eyes until he can remember what color they are 8/3 - DOUBLE FEATURE -------------------- 8:00 - Funeral for a Fiend (KABF01) When Marge is nagged in a dream about skipping commercials with her new TiVo, she makes everybody watch the ones they missed, including one that's really a trap set by Sideshow Bob, whose entire family has joined his vendetta 8:30 - (The Emmy Nominated) Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind (KABF02) Homer finds himself out in the snow and unable to remember the last 24 hours, which is not good when he discovers that Marge and his kids are nowhere to be found 8/10 - E Pluribus Wiggum (KABF03) Springfield's first-in-the-nation Presidential primary puts an unlikely protest candidate into the national frontrunner spotlight - Ralph Wiggum EMMY NEWS The Simpsons got two Emmy nominations; one for the show, in the Animated Program Less Than One Hour category ("technically", it was for "Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind", but there was nothing from preventing the people who make the nominations from basing it on the entire season), and one for composer Alf Clausen, for his work on "Treehouse of Horror XVIII", in the Music Composition (Dramatic Underscore) category. These will be part of the Too Boring For Network TV - ER, UH, Creative Arts Emmys ceremony, held September 13; a highly edited version (consisting mainly of "The nominees for <insert category here> are, <list the shows here>; the winner is <insert winner here>", followed by somebody holding an Emmy and saying "Thank you". and then go on to the next category. unless it's for "one of the Guest Actor or Guest Actress categories, where we'll show you their entire speech since you recognize these people") will air on E! on September 20. The show's competition in the animation category: King of the Hill, Creature Comforts America, SpongeBob SquarePants, and the Robot Chicken Star Wars episode. Note that there are no nominations announced in the voiceover category, as every entry is judged on its own merits; the winners, if any, will be announced sometime in August. -- Don S1.1 MAG+++ LIS++ BAR+ SKI+ MrsK+ MissH+ P&S# FLA- (heresy!) f+++ n+++ Ilps(w) $+++ M46 "Next for voiceover consideration: Harry Shearer - after the way he pissed me off 25 years ago?
